After months of panning, recording, editing, and producing, the Legacy of the Plains Podcast “Voices of the Prairie Wind” is officially up and running. We are on most podcast distribution sites or you can go to www.legacypodcast.net and click on the episodes tab.
For our first episode, we talk to Gary Warner about how his family settling in the area, his personal journey, and the cattle industry. He also talks about the longhorn herd at the museum.
On our second episode, we talk about the impact of the Homestead Act here in the area with Jack Preston. Both Jack’s great-grandparents homesteaded here, and he has done extensive research into the early settlers in Scotts Bluff County.
Some of our future episodes will include topics such as fur traders, early town history, irrigation, industry, agriculture, and other interesting stories that have mad an impact here in the area.
