Wiedeman Farmstead House
Originally located across the highway, the Wiedeman Family’s Farmstead Home was relocated to the museum’s grounds where it was restored to its former glory. The basement is set in the 1930s and the main floor is set in the 1950s.
David and Marie Wiedeman were Germans from Russia who came to Gering, Nebraska, to settle down and make their home in 1919. The family built the barn first, which they lived in until the house was built.
Guided tours of the Wiedeman House are available upon request at the front desk and are included in your admission.
