Private Events
The Legacy of the Plains community room is available to rent for private events
Adjacent to the community room is our spacious museum lobby with an unparalleled view of Scotts Bluff National Monument just right out the back door. We also have a catering kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, ovens, and ample counter space for serving food buffet style. Tables and chairs are available as well. We have hosted meetings, banquets, weddings, graduation parties, and many other private and community events. Please note that facility rentals do not include the Exhibit Hall and admission is separate. For information about facility rental, call the museum at 308-436-1989.

Legacy of the Plains Museum is available for members and guests alike, offering an excellent venue for your upcoming event! With striking views of Scotts Bluff National Monument at competitive prices, Legacy of the Plains Museum is available for rent. The museum offers the following:
- Large bay windows offering breathtaking views of Scotts Bluff National Monument
- Seated dinner arrangements for up to 130 guests
- Up to 150 guests for a strolling reception
- Approximately 1,175 square feet in the Community Room which can be divided up into sections of 400 square feet or 775 square feet.
- Moving wall to close off the Community Room to accommodate smaller groups or allow privacy.
- Approximately 2,050 square feet in the Museum Lobby
- Spacious grounds to accommodate outdoor weddings and other events.
- Beautiful backdrop and historic buildings for photography opportunities
The museum provides the following for all rentals:
- available seating for up to 130 people
- black or brown podium
- Large tv and projector
- microphone/speaker system
All of which are available to use in your facility rental at no additional cost.
