The Legacy of the Plains Museum will also be hosting the last free day. The event will be held this Saturday, October 21st. The free day is a celebration of the Museum’s ten-year anniversary.
Executive Director David Wolf hopes people that haven’t been to the museum in a while come out to see all the changes.
“We tend to take the things in our own backyard for granted, and we really have a great museum here. We are showcasing all the wonderful things to do. Our outbuildings will all be open, great activities for kids, live animals, barrel train, and the exhibit hall will be open. We hope that people can come out and realize that this is a great place to purchase a membership.”
Attendees will be able to visit the gift shop, purchase quilt and beef raffle tickets, updates on the Capital Campaign, and learn about area history.
The museum will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is free to the public.
