This holiday tradition is held the first Saturday in December featuring hay rack rides, and Cowboy Coffee around a bonfire. Kids can write letters to Santa and send them via Pony Express to Santa’s Village in downtown Gering. A hot meal is served while supplies last – your choice of ham with Navy Bean, potato, vegetable or Calico bean soup ($6) or a hot dog ($5) A beverage, bread, and dessert are included. High Plains Christmas is also the kickoff to the Trees Along the Trail Christmas tree decorating contest.
