Legacy of the Plains Museum is a completely privately funded museum, meaning we do not receive any taxpayer dollars except in the form of grants. We rely on membership fees, donations, admission fees, memorials, and other revenue streams to get the museum going.
We want to make sure our youth and young adults become history lovers, and one way for us to help out with that is too offer a reduced membership rate for college students. With several colleges around the area, we also want students a chance to come and learn about the history of the area. We also offer internships for both high school and college students.
Membership is only $25
Some of the benefits of memberships include:
- Free admission to the museum
- 10% discount on community/conference room rentals
- Early bird chance to purchase tickets to museum events
- One-time, one-item 10% discount on gift shop item
- Received quarterly newsletter
Memberships help fund the museum general operating expenses, help us keep programs free/reduced rate, and keeps our museum moving forward.
