Legacy knows how to ‘Get Dirty’!

On April 30th, Legacy of the Plains Museum hosted its very first May Day event “Get Dirty in Spring” that featured fun for the whole family! Kids could come in and make a May Day basket, dance around the May Pole, learn about bugs, fossils and how to care for a garden. After this fun-filled weekend, Legacy is ready to say goodbye to the winter and hello spring!

Special performances were made by the Los Guadalupanos Heritage Dancers and the WNCC Choir.

Los Guadalupanos Heritage Dancers!
Kids got to learn all about fossils from “The Fossil Man” Dr. Lorin King
Kids learned all about bugs and why they’re useful to gardens from “The Bug Man”, Dr. Jeff Bradshaw.
